First Aid at Work & Paediatric First Aid
We now deliver both the full First Aid at Work and the Paediatric First Aid as a combined course meaning that successful candidates receive both qualifications.
Candidates must be at least 16 years of age.
The course will include continual assessment of understanding of the syllabus and practical skills. Assessment will be in the forms of observation of skills and questioning of knowledge through multiple choice questions. Candidates must demonstrate competence in all aspects of the syllabus to pass the qualification.
First Aid at Work
This is the most comprehensive first aid course for the workplace. It covers a wide range of CPR and first aid skills and equips first aiders with the ability to apply first aid to a range of specific injuries and illnesses. The course is suitable for all industries and enables employers to meet HSE requirements. On completion of this course, candidates receive a Level 3 First Aid at Work Qualification.
The qualification is Ofqual accredited and valid for three years.
Paediatric First Aid
The First Aid needs of children vary from those of adults. This qualification is for anyone over the age of 16 that comes into contact with or works with infants and children and equips the first-aider to administer First Aid to children and infants and covers a wide range of CPR and First Aid skills. On completion, candidates will obtain an Level 3 Emergency Paediatric First Aid.
The qualification is Ofqual accredited and valid for three years.
Further Information on First Aid Requirements
It is a requirement of Health & Safety law that employers should provide a safe and healthy environment for their employees. This course will give participants a qualification to the highest level of First Aid, meeting the statutory requirements of the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
