The Fireside Sessions at Toales returns with an intimate evening of original acoustic songcraft, as Clara Byrne and support act Mr Anderson take the spotlight under a flickering fire's ambiance and quiet focus.
Clara Byrne, a songwriter now based in Dundalk, brings a rich musical history and poetic sensibility to the stage. Originally from Bray, she’s carved her path through performances in Berlin, San Francisco, and all across Ireland. Her debut album Handstitched was released in 2022 to widespread acclaim, praised for incredible vocals, with poignant and heartfelt lyrics reflecting the pressures and contradictions encountered living under capitalism
Mr Anderson is the solo project of Alan Anderson, known locally as bassist with The Gakk and for other ventures like Podracer and Sluggers3. He’s performed rare, lo-fi acoustic sets in the Fireside Sessions series before, presenting originals and unique covers in stripped-back form.
