About this Event
Join us for an insightful Fireside Chat and Lunch featuring Mitchell Eaton, founder of Prototype Hubs, who successfully built and sold his rural Alberta-based startup to a U.S. company. This event is a great opportunity to learn from Mitchell’s journey of growing a rural tech business, navigating challenges, and ultimately securing an acquisition.
Mitchell Eaton is a Mechanical Engineering graduate from the University of Alberta (2014). Since completing his degree, Mitchell has worked across industries including Oil & Gas, Mechanical Design, and Manufacturing. When he’s not building startups, you can find Mitchell enjoying the outdoors through wake surfing, downhill mountain biking, or riding his motorcycle. His passion for both innovation and adventure has shaped his entrepreneurial path, making him a compelling example of rural Alberta’s innovative potential.
This lunch will not only showcase the success of rural founders but also highlight the importance of supporting rural innovation. Rural communities play a crucial role in Alberta's economy despite the unique challenges they face. By spotlighting stories like Mitchell’s, we aim to encourage more support and investment for rural entrepreneurs.
Join us for a light lunch and networking after the presentation.
Parking is $1.50 /every 30m or $9/day, and the building is accessible by transit. The Brentwood Train station is about a 10-minute walk away.
