**** Drink & Eat for a Cause! ****Looking for a fun night with COLD BEER from @603Brewery, delicious food, LIVE music, and awesome prizes? And all for a good cause??? Join us at 603 Brewery in Londonderry, NH on May 25, 2024 from 5-9 p.m.!
The handsome boy on the flyer is Logan, a 12-year-old student from Bedford, NH who was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (the most common fatal genetic disorder diagnosed in childhood) when he was 3-years-old. That same year, Logan's dad (a career Firefighter) and another fellow Firefighter decided to run the New York marathon in solidarity with those suffering from Duchenne who lost or would eventually lose their ability to walk and to fundraise money for Duchenne research.
That fundraising campaign started "Firefighters on a Mission" which eventually became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2018 and focuses its mission on assisting First Responder families affected by Duchenne with medical travel, medical equipment, accessible vehicles, and general support. Firefighters on a Mission also provided Logan with a purpose in life - to help others like himself.
In 2021, Logan lost his ability to walk at the age of 10. For the past 2 years, his parents have been carrying him and his foldable wheelchair in an out of their vehicles whenever he needs to go somewhere. After 2 long years, it's time to get Logan the accessible vehicle he needs!
A fundraiser is being held at 603 Brewery on Saturday, May 25th from 5-9 p.m. for Logan's Accessible Van. It's going to be a great night with cold drinks, great food, door prizes, 50/50 raffle, silent auction, LIVE music, and lots of fun! Bring your family and friends! Tickets are $125 donation per person and are tax deductible! (First Responders and Military get $25 off per ticket.)
