The Firefighter Challenge is a one-of-a-kind event where fire departments from around the metro compete to see which team can move a large barrel, hanging 12 feet in the air, just by using the water from the fire hoses. The Challenge plays similar to Tug-of-War tournament style. Cheer on the Woodbury Firefighter Team, watch the challenge play out, explore the engines, bounce in the bounce house, grab some cool swag and meet some of Woodbury’s firefighters.
Please bring folding, yard or camping chairs to sit on as you watch the event!
This challenge is a partnership between Woodbury Fire EMS and Woodbury Firefighter Alumni Association non-profit. The Alumni Association has graciously purchased and donated untreated water, from an outside source specifically for this event. This generous donation gives us the opportunity to host this challenge without using any water from the city supply.
