Join us at the Stark County Sheriff's Law Enforcement Training Center on Saturday, October 12, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. for Firearms Safety and Education. This Course is a comprehensive basic firearms course that covers a wide range of firearm related topics. The introduction of this course contains the safe handling of firearms, proper storage, and maintenance. It then explains S.B. 215, Concealed Handgun Licensing laws and basic shooting fundamentals.
This course is designed to be completed in an eight-hour day and designed specifically to be taught at the LETC under our Community Education Program. The classroom portion would be a six-hour period of instruction, followed by two hours of range time. Each student that successfully completes the program will receive a certificate.
You required to sign a liability release wavier prior to the beginning of the course. Students will also have to provide their own handgun in .22LR - .45 ACP that are in good working condition and 100 rounds of ammunition. Hearing and eye protection is available however, students are encouraged to bring their own. Targets, handouts, and other materials will be provided during the course.
