Firearms for film: Shotgun SpecialistThis course concentrates on Shotguns, one of the more neglected weapons nowadays. We will be working with variety of types: double barrelled, pump action, sawn off, military, police and civilian models.
The training weapons will be replicas that work like the real thing, so every time you pump it, you'll throw out a shell casing- it's as close to the real thing as we are allowed to give you. There will be varying types and sizes of shotgun, from stubby breaching shotguns that constantly need to be fed, to the big sport guns that you'll have to learn control in the tight spaces.
You'll be taught tactical speed loading, and how to keep your shotgun topped up for action. Also a guide to what you can and can't do with a shotgun, which is surprisingly little.
This course gives a useful skill for SWAT, military, or any zombie/ post apocalyptic role where you end up with a scattergun!
Once you're comfortable with the weapon we will add gas masks. Training will address how to best put them on, and how to work your weapons system with them. Topics covered will include a quick guide to riot agents, CBRNe, SCBA, etc- what they mean, and what you need to have in mind in these situations for a role.
Gas masks covered will include the current Norwegian police/army model, the new gas mask used by the United States military, and the latest model used by the UK, US and Norwegian special forces.
We'll refresh the SWAT syllabus with movement now that you have a new weapons platform and we'll push you to be better!
The course will be limited to 10 participants.
