Let's make our own bonfire & fireworks! Come enjoy a fun, warmhearted, cosy time of fun, fertile creativity and communion! Helen McDonald & Dorothea Smartt will be hosting a lively yet laidback open mic for poets and raconteurs upstairs at the cafe.
Helen's friends will join her in playing some live jazz, and Dorothea and guest poets will delight us with their poetry. Together they will create a warm and welcoming space for anyone who would like to share their creativity in a safe, relaxed space! (Sign-up early for our 3min open mic slots!)
Both have a wealth of experience as performers and writers - Helen of her own stories and plays, as well as songs she creates and performs with bands including Yaaba Funk / Future Groove). There will be delicious vegan and vegetarian food, and a licensed bar, and of course lush organic direct trade coffee (Monmouth) + hot chocolate (Divine), fresh juices, organic herbal teas, etc!
All donations shared among guest musicians/poets.
