Compulsory training for companies that own premises.The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 places a responsibility on all employers and business owners to provide employees with adequate fire safety training. Additionally article 18 of the order places a requirement for the Responsible Person to appoint one or more "Competent Persons" to assist with fire safety and emergency evacuations in the event of fire.
To ensure this person is competent in their fire safety training additional to the basic awareness type training should be provided. This type of training will be referred to commonly as Fire Marshall or Fire Warden.
David at Fitzcharles Training is offering a flexible, work at your own pace and time Fire Marshall course, with an overall teaching time of 4 hours and is designed to ensure the designated workplace fire warden or marshal has adequate knowledge to undertake their duties safely and effectively.
