A free class open to the public which will review the different types of fire extinguishers, recommended maintenance and placement in the home, as well as proper use/technique. After a quick classroom and Q&A lesson, participants will be given an opportunity to practice their skills by extinguishing a range fire on a realistic training prop.Cost: Free!
Things to Know:
- Class time: 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
- In general, this class suits ages 16+.
- Children under 16 do not need to be registered, but must be accompanied by an adult.
- Arrive 10 minutes prior to class time for sign-in.
- Please bring a smart phone/tablet device.
- Please do not bring old or damaged fire extinguishers. We will discuss proper disposal during class.
- Registration encouraged; registered attendees will receive a goody bag!
