A heart-warming, musical homage to the great American singer-songwriters of the late 60’s and early 70’s, featuring beautiful timeless songs from James Taylor, Carole King, Simon & Garfunkel, Joni Mitchell, Don Mclean, Bread, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, America, The Byrds, Mamas Cass, Carly Simon and more! An excellent 5-piece band will perform thirty classic songs from this golden era including ‘You’ve got a Friend’, ‘You make me feel like a natural woman’, ‘American Pie’, ‘Fire and Rain’, ‘Big Yellow Taxi’, ‘River’, Starry Starry Night’, ‘Horse with no Name’, ’Mrs Robinson’, ‘Make it with you’, ‘Feelin’ Groovy’, ‘California Dreaming’, ‘You’re So Vain’ and ‘Woodstock’!
The show has a relaxed acoustic style, matching the spirit of this era when many of these artists were neighbours in the Laurel Canyon suburb of L.A. With an intimate nostalgic narrative including images, the show is sometimes poignant, sometimes funny, always delightful.
Produced and Hosted by Singer-guitarist Paul Wheeler (TV Director, 'Live at the Apollo') with Sophie Langham (West-End actress-singer and formerly Eastenders).
