About this Event
We are celebrating all of the 170+ FiPL projects, looking back across four years of the programme in 2025. Join us on 17 January from 1.30pm for a couple of hours to explore Eastleach Downs Organic Farm with farmer Helen Wade, who will show us around the mixed organic arable and pig farm where a FiPL grant contributed to improving outdoor access for people with disabilities in partnership with the Disabled Ramblers Association. This was our first approved FiPL project (001).
Please note: to pinpoint the exact meeting place use What3Words to take you to the car park. https://what3words.com/insurance.lilac.shopper.
The FiPL grant contributed funding towards the Visitor Hub (with educational displays, resources about the farm, the landscape, and the farm’s sustainable practices), compost WC, car park and track improvements to welcome and enable disabled visitors to access the farm.
We will meet at the Visitor Hub at 1.30pm (to begin at 1.45pm) where we will hear from Helen about her motivations to make the farm more accessible and then we will walk on the upgraded tracks to see what visitors see when they go for a visit! Just what you need after Christmas…a beautiful walk in the Cotswolds, in the fresh air. We invite everyone to explore and enjoy the beauty of the Cotswolds countryside with us while hearing about how FiPL has benefitted underrepresented groups.
