About this Event

Join us on the 16th of February to find out how organisations are examining and protecting themselves from increasingly challenging cyber security threats. This forum will include four short talks about hot topics affecting businesses today. There will also be a panel discussion with the speakers to answer any questions you might have about the talks, or cyber security in general.

James Horlock - Cardiff University Masters Programme

PwC has recently introduced a Cyber Security Master’s programme in collaboration with Cardiff University. The Master’s is designed to provide students with the knowledge and practical experience they need to subsequently work as Junior Penetration Testers. James will explore the genesis of the programme and the skill set needed for a Cyber specialist.

Huw Davies - Electric Vehicle Security and Business Resilience

With the increasing adoption of Electric Vehicles, Huw will discuss some of the potential changes and business impacts that this will bring, along with the challenges of charging and fleet management in a cyber security context.

Harry Williams - Adding Value to External Infrastructure Testing

The industry has become flooded with infrastructure tests performed by automated tooling; Harry will be looking at why this is an issue and how more value can be provided to clients by supplementing automated tests.

Anastasia Kozlova - "Red Teaming" in Context

Recently, the PwC Ethical Hacking team has seen an increase in clients requesting a "red team"; Anastasia will be exploring different types of red team scenarios and walk through several case studies illustrating the most effective and the least effective approaches to red teaming observed by the PwC team.
