Born and bred in the border town of Dundalk, Ireland, Finnian has meticulously honed his craft as a songwriter, sculpting his music with a blend of honesty, depth, and texture. Fearlessly drawing from a tapestry of influences, Finnian seamlessly weaves live performance with studio finesse, earning accolades for his refreshing approach to the genre's of Folk and Roots music.

His music and story telling has been likened to Americana heavyweights such as Bruce Springsteen, James Taylor and John Prine. Comparisons aside, he delivers a refreshingly original sound fortified by his Irish heritage.

The release of his debut album, "Under the Influence," in the summer of 2020 marked a watershed moment, catapulting Finnian into the spotlight in Ireland with an unwavering momentum. His body of work serves as a poignant reflection of lived experiences, characterised by an unwavering commitment to authenticity and a relentless pursuit of both introspective and objective songwriting.

Be it as a solo performer or backed by a cadre of exceptionally talented local musicians, Finnian's live performances are nothing short of captivating, offering audiences a dynamic glimpse into his musical odyssey. From his modest beginnings on the open mic circuit to his current stature, his evolution as a folk-based songwriter has been marked by a resounding authenticity and an insatiable thirst for growth, resonating deeply with audiences hungry for genuine musical expression.

Beyond his solo endeavours, Finnian proudly lends his talents to Ceithre Cinn, a folk group comprised of esteemed songwriters Ciaran Lavery, Suzanne Savage, and Matt McGinn. Together, they continue to push the boundaries of traditional folk music, forging a path that is as innovative as it is inspiring.

This Frontier Needs Heroes -

"This Frontier Needs Heroes brings a Nashville flair to the Northeast, yet retains a rugged folksy charm in line with The Basement Tapes and John Prine." -Glide Magazine"This Frontier Needs Heroes’ song of longing for that heart’s ship that passed in the night. Lauretti’s songwriting instincts immediately draw you in to an all-too-familiar emotional space of yearning." -Americana Highways
"A captivating work of country/folk magic, sonically very reminiscent of the new Laurel Canyon sound associated with Jonathan Wilson and friends." -Lonesome Highway
"This Frontier Needs Heroes have been releasing music for over a decade and you can hear that lived-in feel in the playing and the maturity of the arrangement and sublime vocal melodies of singer-songwriter Brad Lauretti on this new song ‘South Dakota’. It’s a mix of gorgeous, folk-tinged vocals, the grit and electric twang of the guitar, combined with a sweet soul groove that Levon Helm would be proud of, that makes this such a great sound." -Post to Wire
"With the vocals raw and echoey, it opens with the title track, a laid back number about going where life takes you, inspired by floating downstream on tubes on North Florida’s freshwater springs and with a decided John Prine feel to it, fleshed-out by piano and bar-band guitar." -Folk Radio UK
