Well, it's time to take the mystery out of finishing! Want to know how to get the water ring removed from the table? Have a scratch that needs to disappear? Which woods are prone to blotching and how do you prevent it? Understanding the various finishes available will help you to solve all sorts of woodworking challenges and protect your handmade treasure for generations to come. This hands on class will turn you into a finishing expert ready to tackle that next project. From surface preparation to finish selection to application, this class will walk you through the process, leaving you with the confidence to refinish your kitchen cabinets, upcycle that unique project or correctly finish that project you have invested so much time and energy in. Be sure to come with any questions you might have. This is a 3 hour comprehensive class with a half hour lunch break. All class participants receive a 15% discount on merchandise purchased in the store on the same day of their class. Exclusions Apply. Students should come properly attired for a woodworking class (tight fitting clothing, long hair restrained and constrained from the face); and bring or wear provided industry standard hearing protection and safety glasses during equipment operation. All woodworking classes are held in a store that sells a wide variety of woods, including exotic woods such as cedar, aromatic cedar and other products (e.g., finishes, cleaners, etc.) that may cause allergic or other reactions in a small number of cases.
