Noodling on Noveling in November? Finish Your D*mn Novel at A Seat at the Table Books! We’ll be bringing together our wonderful writing community with biweekly writing sessions to help you meet your goal of writing 50,000 words in 30 days!
Local published authors will be hosting writing sessions every Friday and Sunday of November to keep you on track with writing sprints and to cheer you on as you reach your word count! Authors include: Jason Denzel, Angela Montoya, Lisa Riddiough, Shelley Blanton-Stroud, Dr. Settles-Tidwell, Lisa Bunker, and more to be added! See our socials for full author bios!
This event is for you if:
- You’ve never written a novel but have always wanted to!
- You’re in the middle of writing your first novel and are stuck
- You’ve written several novels
- You’ve never tried writing 50k in 30 days
- This is your 20th anniversary of attempting 50k in 30 days!
Join us every Friday 5-6pm and every Sunday 1-2pm! That's 9 sessions! Weekly themed drink included in ticket price. We host Open Mic on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month, so come to get your words written and then keep the arts vibes going by staying (and maybe even performing)!

- Attend Writing Demystified with Jazon Denzel, author of The Mystic Trilogy, as he hosts fellow local author Julia Vee in discussion of writing, editing, and publishing. You can find the full Eventbrite here.
- Pay into the Accountability Bank! Add this optional add-on to confirm interest in putting your money where your words are, by paying $1 a day for the 30 days of November. If you make your 50,000 word count, you’ll get your money back! Any funds left over in the Accountability Bank due to writers not making their goal will be split evenly among the winners. Join us for a "You Did It!" Celebration with Lisa Bunker in person on Sunday December 1 to pick up your winnings and take part in a photo we’ll post on our social media congratulating you!
