Established in 2019 in Ottawa, Ontario, Finely Tuned Elephant is a Canadian jazz rock fusion trio. Merging influences from global music, contemporary jazz, and progressive rock, they are known for creating a dynamic and thrilling sonic experience, with technical, catchy compositions and electrifying live performances. The second self-produced album, "The Fast Life," from the band was unveiled on March 4th, 2022. Following this release, the year witnessed a celebratory tour with over 25 performances, including a notable East Coast tour. The onset of 2023 brought a dynamic start, marked by packed shows alongside acclaimed bands and mini tours in Montreal and Toronto. As the trio continues to captivate audiences into 2024, their third album is currently in the works, and they have already showcased new compositions during performances in Ontario and Quebec. Finely Tuned Elephant is Jordan Robinson (guitars), Cyrus Robertson Orkish (bass), and Kyle Iveglia (drums).Finely Tuned Elephant will be joined by Alex Lugli on keys and Angelo Leo on saxophone, performing Japanese fusion quartet Casiopea's "MINT JAMS" in its entirety in this performance. This album was pivotal in the ensemble's sonic development. As such, this show is a Japanese Fusion themed event. Nitro Turtle will be performing as well, with stylistically consistent original and cover music.
NitroTurtle is a funk band out of Ottawa that flexes between funk, R&B, hip-hop, jazz and soul vibes. Led by Deniz Lim-Sersan (drums), the group has a rotating cast of some of the finest musicians in the city. If you want to dance, groove or just sit down and nod your head, NitroTurtle will bring the music.
