About this Event
Cynthia A. Lietz is dean of the Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions and President's Professor in the School of Social Work at Arizona State University. She is proud to lead a community of faculty, staff, students and community members who are committed to working together to build more vibrant, healthy, equitable and sustainable communities. Her research examines the process of resilience for children, youth and adults. This research is known for being immediately applicable for any person navigating difficult experiences such as loss, trauma or other types of adversity that can impact our wellbeing. For this reason, she is a sought-after speaker for a variety of audiences, considering this work offers a message of encouragement during stressful times. We strongly encourage you to attend this important conversation about what it means to overcome adversity through finding your own resilience.
