Pardee's notable collaborations include working with director Andrea Arnold on films such as Wuthering Heights, American Honey, and the upcoming Bird. Pardee's expertise in street casting has been instrumental in projects like Sarah Gavron's Rocks, for which she won a BAFTA and a BIFA, and Charlotte Wells' Aftersun, which earned her another BAFTA nomination.
In this masterclass, Pardee will share her insights into the casting process, from discovering non-professional performers to collaborating with directors and nurturing new talent. This is a unique opportunity to learn from one of the industry's leading casting directors and gain a deeper understanding of how authentic and compelling casts are assembled.
Additionally, Lucy Pardee will personally introduce the Czech premiere of Bird by Andrea Arnold at the 32nd Days of European Film festival on April 4 at 7:30 PM in Světozor cinema.
