After 5 years (and a Pandemic) Sarah Mayfield takes the stage with the support of the family, ministry, and elders of the Carbondale Church of Christ. Sarah will debut a show unlike most "debut performances," airing material she has poured her heart into for decades!Sarah invites her audience to come hear the story of a young woman who stood firm for her belief that EVERYONE has gifts and EVERY GIFT is beautiful and deserves the support of friends, family, AND community!! Sarah's shares how she was scarred by events and criticisms during childhood, and eventually discovered her strength. With story and songs, Sarah will share how she choose to release the victim stance and embrace a survivor's story! The evening will be truly unique with a mixture of instrumental music, storytelling, and song.
Sarah is thrilled to announce the dawn of new storytelling is at hand. She longs to write new stories to evoke hope, serenity, and unity. Her mission - to evolve her Spirit and thereby her music from narratives of scarcity, pain, and survival to anthems of joy, prosperity, and healing. Her commitment - to create melodies that resonate deeply, stirring something beautiful and ultimately transformational within listeners.
The event will be filmed and streamed live. Sarah invites all who are able to join us as live audience members for filming, and for those out of the area to enjoy the show by tuning in from home.
Love donations will be graciously accepted. Music and other items will be available for sale after the concert.
A portion of the proceeds will be used to purchase art supplies for the Art & Community Center for children in Peru.
Partners include: The Carbondale Church of Christ, Kevin Mayfield with Nordic Wolf Drums. Other partners TBA shortly.
