An American aviator, entrepreneur and aircraft designer, Paul Poberezny founded the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) during 1953 in Milwaukee and spent the greater part of his life promoting aviation and the homebuilt aircraft movement. Kurt Stanich will be joining us again for Part 2 in this story. Our fall in-person program is scheduled for Wednesday evening, November 6th at 7 PM at Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport in the Sijan Conference Room. Airport parking will be validated for attendees so be sure to bring your parking ticket with you to the program.Paul Poberezny is widely recognized as the first person to have popularized the tradition of aircraft homebuilding in the United States. He had a passion for everything aviation, and had an ability to lead and inspire people. All subsequent EAA leaders have stood on the shoulders of this quiet giant.
In addition to his longtime experience as a military aviator, he was also a flight instructor, an air show pilot, air racer and test pilot who often test flew his own homebuilt designs as well as those of others.
