In this talk, meditation master Orgyen Chowang Rinpoche will provide instructions and guided meditation on the unique type of meditation called Pristine Mind meditation presented in his book Our Pristine Mind: A Practical Guide to Unconditional Happiness. Many people are familiar with mindfulness meditation. Pristine Mind meditation is an approach to meditation without an object that goes beyond mindfulness to help us find happiness within, dispel distortions of mind, and bring about greater health and a deep sense of well-being. The instructions in this workshop will allow us to access and experience our own Pristine Mind and will provide a practical introduction to the profound transformative effects of this type of practice.

During the workshop we will meditate together and will experience for ourselves how this meditation can cleanse the mind, bring unconditional happiness, and transform every area of our lives.

No background with meditation is necessary.

This talk will be given in English with simultaneous Chinese translation.

Orgyen Chowang Rinpoche is a meditation master in the Dzogchen lineage of the Buddhist tradition. He studied for nine years at Five Science Buddhist Academy at Larung Gar in Serta, Eastern Tibet, with his teacher, Jigme Phuntsok Rinpoche, who is widely acknowledged as one of the greatest Dzogchen meditation masters of the twentieth century.

A long-time resident of the San Francisco Bay Area, Orgyen Chowang Rinpoche has lectured at prestigious universities such as Stanford and Harvard, and has also been a guest speaker at Google (Talks at Google). He has led workshops and retreats in various countries across North America, Europe, and Asia. He is the founder and spiritual director of the Pristine Mind Foundation.
