In this two-hour workshop, participants will learn practices to support the body, mind, and spirit as we shift from Spring to Summer. Yoga’s sister science, Ayurveda, also known as “The Science of Life,” teaches us ways to keep the rhythm of our bodies in tune with the rhythm of nature. Participants will learn about the basics of Ayurveda as it relates to the shift of seasons and move through a series of practices designed to spark joy and find balance. This workshop will consist of a grounding yet opening asana practice (movement), uplifting mantra (chanting), cooling pranayama (breathwork), and a calming dhyana (meditation)—all tools to support the body during the warmer months of summer. This workshop is being offered as part of our Advanced Teacher Training and is free to attend. Donations for the Yoga Teacher Training Scholarship Fund are accepted, though not expected.
