Thinking of Others for the Holidays: A Kwanzaa Workshop with Rasheeda Brown

Come join artist Rasheeda Brown for a special crafting event to celebrate Kwanzaa! Together, we'll create seven unique handcrafted gifts, one for each day of the festival, to share with seven special people in your life. Embrace the spirit of giving and creativity as we make meaningful treasures to cherish this Kwanzaa season!
Capturing the Light: Chanukah Through the Arts with Shira Weiss
1 - 4pm, ELVAS
Join us for a family friendly, immersive art experience! New Art Center invites families with children of all ages to explore, reflect upon, and celebrate the things that bring us light this Chanukah through artmaking and storytelling. From 2:00-3:00, join us for a theatre workshop to create a collaborative performance through writing, acting, and movement.
ATTENDANCE
T he event is free and open to the public. The event is from 12 to 4 PM. Doors open 15 minutes beforehand.
We will be photographing this event and by registering, you agree that there is a possibility you may be photographed and the resulting images used for marketing purposes (in email, social media, print, and on our website).
We ask that all guests be conscious of residential parking. Please refrain from parking on Townhouse Dr. Please be aware that parking in the Handicapped Parking spot in front of our entrance at 61 Washington Park without a permit will result in a parking ticket.
ACCESSIBILITY
T he Main Gallery can be accessed via a ramp that connects to the sidewalk directly in front of designated Handicapped Parking on Washington Park. There is an accessible bathroom in the Main Gallery. The Main Gallery connects to other parts of the New Art Center via stairs. Any questions about accessibility, please call 617-964-3424.
