About this Event
The theme for August is: Courage
How can we find the courage to be different, to be uniquely ourselves?
Tools like Kundalini Yoga, meditation, chanting, and breath work have allowed me comprehensive tools to be myself no matter the circumstances around me. To stand alone, when no one else will stand with me.
I would love to share these tools with you in this donation-based class. We meet at the beautiful St. Thomas' Parish located in NW DC- lots of light and energy to hold us through our practice.
Please bring your own yoga mat. Bolster, blanket and water recommended/optional

What is Kundalini Yoga?
This class is open to beginners, intermediate, and experienced yogis.
Kundalini Yoga is an ancient technique of yoga that combines Mantras (chanting), Breathing techniques, Body Postures (done in a rhythmic and repetitive manner), and Meditation. This class provides a wholesome experience to the yogi and the effects can be felt both on and off the mat. Kundalini Yoga will give you the experience that we are “spiritual beings having a human experience not humans beings trying to have a spiritual experience”. It is an effective way to heal and reduce stress and anxiety by soothing the nervous system and relaxing the mind.
