“Make Me a Landscape, Do Not Include Any Sky” – Ben Bloch
Ben Bloch uses a closed-circuit AI model trained on his own paintings and then reinterprets those images by hand, examining how technology, memory, and human design shape our understanding of landscape. Bloch is an interdisciplinary artist living between Utah and Montana whose work spans painting, writing, and new media, and who has exhibited nationally and internationally, including as an NEA National Parks artist-in-residence.
“A Pictorial Atlas of Fossil Remains” – Carol Sogard
Carol Sogard documents consumer waste as it decomposes and merges with natural debris, presenting these materials as “unnatural fossils” that reflect humanity’s lasting environmental impact. Sogard is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the environmental consequences of consumption through photography and textile-based processes and has been exhibited and published widely.
