This course is the first of three financial management certification trainings. This training will be an introduction to financial management for a Native CDFI and a pre-requisite for the Financial Management II course. During this training we will explore non-profit accounting, non-profit financial statements, financial management, GAAP/FASB, accounting principles, accounting policies and procedures, financial analysis, the auditing function, and the 990-tax return for non-profit entities. This training will be interactive with hands on activities.
The goal of this training is to provide financial managers with the knowledge necessary to manage the accounting of a Native CDFI. This course will also prepare participants for the Financial Management II course.
