About this Event
About This Course:
In this two-day course, participants will learn best practices and common mistakes to avoid in the CAD/CAM design and manufacturing process of titanium bar-reinforced full-arch PMMA restorations, including hands-on practice using Blender's iBar module to create/split the bar and sleeve designs. Participants will also learn how to finish the PMMA restorations with light cure composites and glazes to achieve a natural-looking esthetic.
Course Level: Intermediate
Course Pre-requisites:
- Some experience designing implant restorations in Exocad, 3Shape, inDesign, etc.
- OR accompanied by CAD tech with dental design experience as an observer.
- Please note that while the course will cover the designing process, a working knowledge of Exocad, etc. is required.
- Some experience using light-cure gingiva-shade composite and light-cure stains is preferred, but not required.
Course Agenda
Friday, October 18th
Austin Heath will teach a proven, predictable, repeatable workflow to manage the desing, verification, temporization and milling of PMMA and titanium iBar hybrids on Multi-Unit abutments. Then, Austin will lead participants in a hands-on demo converting the hybrid design into a bar and sleeve design using Blender's iBar design module. Laptops, software and mouse will be provided for each hands-on participant.

Nina Frketin will take attendees through each step of the process to finish an anaxcam: The Show DCL PMMA sleeve over a titanium implant bar. Nina will show steps from post-milling contouring and texturing of the PMMA, to characterizing teeth with Vita Akzent LC glazes, and finally layering natural-looking gingiva with anaxgum pink composite. She'll guide attendees through a hands-on practice to finish their own model with a bar that they'll take home as a showcase. Model and finishing materials will be provided. Participants will bring their own composite instruments and brushes.
Day 2 - Esthetic Finishing with Nina Frketin

How to Get to anaxskool:
After years of traveling to hold courses in labs and education centers nationwide, we made our very own anaxskool education center with a mission to create effective, dynamic, memorable educational programs for dental professionals in the USA.
We founded anaxskool in our quirky, small hometown in southern Oklahoma: .
We're about 1.5 hours North of the Dallas / Fort Worth Airport (DFW), and it's an easy drive up I-35. We recommend renting a car to get to and from the airport and to get around town during your stay, since Uber and Lift don't have a dependable presence here.
About The Instructors:
Nina Frketin: I'm a Croatian-born Dental technician with 20 years of experience. My journey into dental technology began after completing a 4-year dental course in Rijeka, Croatia. My passion for this work stems from my lifelong fascination with art, colors, and materials. Dentures and implant hybrids have always held a special place in my heart. Shaping materials to create both functional and beautiful results brings me immense joy, and I'm dedicated to sharing my knowledge. In recent years, I've had the privilege of becoming:
- An international educator, teaching courses worldwide and online
- An acclaimed lecturer in the field.
- A published author, both online and offline.
- A Key Opinion Leader (KOL) for several renowned dental companies
