Have you ever wanted to get act in a play, but never had the opportunity? Have you wanted to get back into the acting game or just want another acting project? This is your chance! Join us for our second and final audition for our 2024 season. We will be auditioning for two separate productions on Saturday the 22nd in the large meeting room at the McGee Center in Conway, AR. The first show we are auditioning for is our kid's show, Inspector Snow and Toto Too by Skip Chalker. This Oz-inspired show is the perfect choice for any kid between the ages of 5 and 17 and will be under the direction of Jessica Miller. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. We will be incorporating some music so kids auditioning are welcome to sing a song of their choice, but singing is not required. There are also nonspeaking roles available. Auditions for the children's production will be from 1 PM - 4 PM. Production dates are August 16 - 18. A character list is as follows:
Detective Snow - lead, any gender: singing not required; excellent storyteller
Detective Sergeant Merryman - lead, any gender, singing not required.
Wicked Witch Of The West - female identifying; supporting: singing not required
Chief Inspector Baum - shapeshifter; played by multiple actors; singing suggested not required.
Officer - any gender; singing suggested but not required.
Coward Lee Lion - featured; singing strongly suggested. Mover.
Scarecrow - featured; any gender; singing strongly suggested; mover.
Guardian of the Gate - supporting; any gender; singing not required.
Lollipop Man/Woman - supporting; any gender; singing not required
Toto - supporting, any gender, singing not required
Stu The Mechanic - supporting, any gender, singing not required.
Tin Woodman/woman - featured; any gender, singing strongly suggested
Dorothy - supporting; female identifying; singing strongly suggested
Queen of the Flying Monkeys - female identifying; supporting; singing not required.
Glinda - featured; female identifying; singing suggested by not required

We will also be holding our second audition for our final production of the year, Hamlet by William Shakespeare. This is one of Shakespeare's iconic tragedies and will be under the direction of Vera Proctor. We are looking for several actors above the age of 18. As this is our second audition, some of the roles have been filled but we still have a lot of excellent open characters. If you are interested in auditioning, we ask that you prepare a short monologue from a Shakespeare tragedy. There will be monologues for you to read if you do not have one prepared. Hamlet auditions will take place from 4 PM - 7 PM. Production dates are TBA but planning around October/November.
