This workshop is suitable for ANY skill level. Those with more experience shooting will start shooting earlier, allowing each person time to get used to the kit.In this 6 hour informal workshop we will go through the whole process of shooting, developing and printing our own film! All you need to bring is a working camera that shoots 35mm film. Not sure if your camera is working? Not to worry, we can check it out beforehand, and have spares if need be.
We will start by going over the fundamentals of film, the things you'll find on most film cameras - then we will shoot a few shots in the studio and go for a short photo-walk in the park if the weather permits. The aim is for each of us to shoot 36 photos on black and white film. Then we will go back to the studio and develop them inside a dark bag, using the same process you would in a dark room(just a bit easier). The final step will be to choose a couple of our favourite photos and make some small prints using our custom cyanotype enlargers! Again, it's a bit more of a friendly process than traditional prints would be - but should teach you enough to take the next step when you are ready!
All the while, there will be snacks, teas and coffees available to keep us fuelled throughout. Spaces are extremely limited so book asap to ensure a spot :)
