Amid world-wide demands for a ceasefire, and ICJ concerns about genocide in Palestine, what may explain the Labour Party leader's response?
About this Event

Film - The Big Lie II: Starmer and the Genocide

The UN Commission for Human Rights recently found Israel guilty of war crimes, including M**der, the use of starvation as a weapon, extermination, cruel and inhuman treatment, gender-based M**der and violence, torture, forced displacement and collective punishment targeting women, children and disabled people, in acts of 'intentional strategy to cause maximum damage' disregarding international law, since the Hamas attacks of 7th October 2023.

In March, the UN's Special Rapporteur for the Occupied Palestinian Territories declared Israel guilty of genocide and asked the International Criminal Court to issue arrest warrants for leading Israeli politicians. Israel is also on trial before the International Court of Justice for genocide.

This highly anticipated documentary sequel, The Big Lie II: Starmer and the Genocide (by radical filmmaker Platform Films) looks at these events in Palestine and the world-wide protest movements generated by the slaughter. Many thousands of innocent people are still being killed and maimed, with apparent impunity. War crimes go unpunished. Why has the response of the Leader of the Labour Party been so deplorable, and what can be done about it?

Narrated by Alexei Sayle, and including: Andrew Feinstein, Craig Murray, Asa Winstanley, George Galloway, Peter Oborne, Brian Eno, Huda Amori, former Hastings' councillors and the 'Skaters against Genocide', among others.

Screening to be followed by a discussion.
