About this Event
Learn how to paint on transparent film, manipulate images on developed film, and scratch the emulsion off of opaque black film (or "leader") to create unique and brilliant visual effects that can only be achieved with these long-forgotten analog techniques. Come to a single workshop and make a quick one-off short film, or attend multiple sessions to develop a longer project. You can take home your physical reel or take advantage of our partnership with the Texas Archive of the Moving Image to professionally digitize your film.
Run your film strip through our 16mm projector, expose the vibrant colors of your inner experimental filmmaker, and see where your light shines through.
