Directed by Martin Horský, Czech Republic / 2025 / 102 min
Comedy
Josef is a gifted violin maker whose instruments bring joy to people around the world. Though he’s never seen the sea, he tends lovingly to a puddle in his courtyard so the birds have a place to drink. By his side is Dandelion, his faithful dog, and nearby are the people who color his world: Anežka, the beautiful neighbor he quietly adores, and Václav, a charismatic piano tuner and his Wednesday chess partner. However, life, like music, changes tempo without warning. When time begins to feel fragile, Josef decides to stop waiting. With the help of his eccentric, steadfast friends, he sets out to reclaim the dreams he once set aside.
The film stars Ondřej Vetchý, Jiří Langmajer, Linda Rybová, and Sara Sandeva.
