Bothy
Sue Barrett & Nic Hobbs, 90secs, 2025
We asked ourselves what it would take for us to cycle to a mountain bothy. Add beyond the planning and kit logistics, it took grit and determination to overcome the challenges of the mountain trails. We appreciated our friendship, our ability to laugh in the face of adversity and our love of remote mountain environments. Our highlights? Being in wilderness for sunset, then gazing up at a dark sky full of stars, and waking to a magical sunrise.
All Bodies on Bikes
Zeppelin Zeerip, 13mins, 2021
Kailey Kornhauser and Marley Blonsky are on a mission – a mission to change the idea that people in larger bodies can’t ride bikes. The duo aims to make cycling more inclusive, beyond just inviting people of all sizes to ride bikes, but by changing the entire idea of what it means to be a cyclist — not just on screens, but on trails and in people’s minds.
Three Wheel Drive
Stefan Morrocco, 16mins, 2024
Three Wheel Drive is a short documentary film produced in Perthshire, Scotland. It shows what can be achieved by people with disabilities in relation to having adventures, getting to places they normally couldn’t go and how off-road handcycles can help them find freedom like never before.
Women Don’t Cycle
Manon Brulard, 47mins, 2022
In 2019, Manon Brulard set out on a journey cycling from Brussels to Tokyo, where she met and interviewed inspiring women across the globe. Over 11 months, she crossed 21 countries and cycled around 13,500km. The result, Women Don’t Cycle, is a film about what it means to be a woman cycling in different countries around the world, and the stories they have to tell. It is also a fascinating experiment in what it takes to make safe, sustainable travel possible for everyone. Women Don’t Cycle defies traditional gender roles and captures the powerful force of women leading the way to fight climate change
This is a My Movie charity screening, all funds raised will help support Women in Tandem CIC. Women in Tandem is a not for profit bike collective based in Nottingham. They offer free training in bike maintenance and riding skills, provide free bikes to those most in need, and lead group rides.
