On Saturday 27 July, Faltonia's Circle (a group of women in our diocese) are hosting an event called "Looking Back and Looking Forward," a festival of women's leadership in the Anglican Church."This day is a celebration and remembrance of our past and a hopeful looking forward to what is to come. We begin with a silent Eucharist to recall the silencing of women in the church for millennia. We move to thanksgiving for the courage and witness of the Philadelphia Eleven 50 years ago, and the ministry of women in this diocese, including the Consecration of our own Sarah Plowman this year."
While most of the events will be held at St John's Cathedral, the day concludes with a screening of a film about the Philadelphia Eleven to be held here at Holy Trinity. Cost for the movie is $20 (includes canapes and drinks)
