Join us the night before the Understanding and Responding to Mass Incarceration (URMI) conference for a free screening of "The Box" in the Metro State University Film Space."The Box" is a hybrid short film that combines documentary, stop-motion animation, and cinematic vignettes to immerse the audience in the world of solitary confinement. The short film (16 minutes) will be followed by a discussion facilitated by Five Mualimm-ak, a survivor of solitary confinement and one of the three people featured in the documentary.
