🎥 Film synopsis�In 2019,
Documentary filmmaker Hind Meddab travelled to Sudan to film a sit-in protest outside the army headquarters in Khartoum. Sudanese people were mobilising en masse, demanding reform after decades of military dictatorship.
Over four years, Meddab follows a group of young activists through moments of hope after the fall of dictator Omar al-Bashir, and through the devastation of military repression and civil war — a conflict that today has left Sudan in ruins.
Facing a powerful army, how does a civilian movement find the strength to persist? Through conversations, demonstrations, and street art, the film reveals how poetry, music, and creativity become vital tools of resistance and survival.� "Sudan, Remember Us" is both a witness to a lost revolution and a powerful tribute to creativity as a force for freedom.
🌍 Why this matters now� - As Sudan’s devastating war enters its third year, international solidarity is more urgent than ever. �Despite brutal violence fuelled by imperialist interventions and struggles over land and resources, Sudanese trade unionists, resistance committees, women’s organisations, Emergency Response Rooms, and grassroots activists continue to organise for peace, justice, and genuine civilian rule.

Yn 2019, teithiodd y gwneuthurwraig ffilmiau dogfen Hind Meddab i Sudan i ffilmio protest eistedd y tu allan i bencadlys y fyddin yn Khartoum. Roedd pobl Sudan yn mobilio ar raddfa fawr, gan fynnu diwygio ar ôl degawdau o unbennaeth filwrol.

Er gwaethaf y trais creulon a daniwyd gan ymyriadau imperialaidd a brwydrau dros dir, adnoddau a chyfoeth, mae undebwyr llafur Sudanese, pwyllgorau gwrthiant, sefydliadau menywod, yr Emergency Response Rooms, ac ymgyrchwyr ar lawr gwlad yn parhau i drefnu dros heddwch, cyfiawnder a rheolaeth sifil wirioneddol.
