About the Film: While watching Beyond the Wall: 2018 you will meet Victor, a DACA recipient who arrived in the United States as an infant. You will get to know Maryam, too. Maryam is a refugee who settled in Denver in 2017 after fleeing war in Syria.
The film features intimate interviews with remarkable Coloradans, including a survivor of U.S. Japanese internment camp, war veterans, school leaders, legal experts and politicians, all of whom shed light on the cognitive dissonance and fears that many Americans, including our heroes, are facing today.”*
*(Editor’s note: I wrote this in 2017. These stories and these people remain as relevant as ever in 2025.)
