About this Event

It wouldn't be the winter season without at least one festive movie, so join us this December at The Proud Place for a cosy screening of Todd Hayne's Carol.

Travel back in time to the Christmas season of 1952, where a glamorous married woman and an aspiring photographer meet in a department store and embark on a passionate, forbidden romance that will forever change their lives. Christmas hats are encouraged, yearning is optional.

Free snacks and drinks will be available so whether you’re a Haynes superfan or you're brand new to this lesbian classic, this is a screening you don’t want to miss! Christmas hats are encouraged, yearning is optional.

Please note, our tickets are tiered for this event in order to allow folks of all different incomes to attend. All ticket sales go directly back into the running of The Proud Place, Manchester's LGBT+ Community centre.

As ticket sales act as donations all tickets are non-refundable. If you have any queries about this please get in touch by emailing [email protected].
