On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Surrealism, join the Menil for an outdoor screening of the 1958 romantic comedy Bell, Book and Candle set at the Carlebach Gallery, a “tribal arts” gallery in New York frequented by the Surrealists. The story follows Gillian Holroyd (Kim Novak), a modern-day witch, who casts a love spell on publisher Shepherd Henderson (James Stewart). Rated PG, 106 min.This program takes place on the main building lawn, located at 1533 Sul Ross Street.
