ژیلا کاشف بنیانگذار انجمن توسعه و مربیگری جوانان (AYDM) در ایران و نگه داشتن کودکان در مدرسه (KCIS) در ایالات متحده بود. زندگی او با انبوهی از چالش‌ها شامل فقر در دوران کودکی، حمایت از خود و خانواده‌اش در جوانی، و سال‌هایی که در برابر سرطان سپری کرده است، مشخص شده است.
این فیلم به شرح زندگی و کار ژیلا در طول سه دهه تلاش استوار برای بهبود شرایط تحصیلی کودکان فقیر می‌پردازد.

“Jila” is the 8th production of “Karestan کارستان” and features Jila Kashef’s life.
Jila Kashef was the founder of the Association for Youth Development & Mentoring (AYDM) in Iran and Keep Children in School (KCIS) in the US. Her life is marked by a slew of challenges that include poverty in childhood, supporting herself and her family in youth, and years spent withstanding cancer.
This film outlines the life and work of Jila over three decades of steadfast effort to improve the educational conditions of children in poverty.
Proceeds from ticket purchase will be donated to KCIS.
