From shelter to subject—TalkPretkritto—Film (duration 50 mins) Program around the Exhibition—Extraordinary Line This film revisits the house where Pritam’s life began—a structure now suspended between memory and disappearance. Once a dwelling, it stands today as both witness and subject. After the Amphan cyclone left it uninhabitable, Pritam returned to its fragile walls, not to restore them, but to converse with their silence. Over three years, through paintings and gestures, he transformed the decaying architecture into a site of remembrance. Today, that house no longer exists—only the images, drawings, and this film remain as its afterlife, where art continues to speak in the absence of the structure itself. This collaboration with filmmaker Bandhu Prasad traces that delicate dialogue between space, self, and time.Image credits:Pritam DasReverse PerspectivePapier-mâché, white cement, pen and ink on paper; filmCourtesy: The Artist
