About this Event

Welcome to Film Night - The Human Scale!

Join us on Thu Dec 12 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Charlotte Urban Design Center for an evening of thought-provoking cinema. Dive into the world of urban planning and design with this documentary that explores ways in which we can build cities in a manner that takes human needs for inclusion and intimacy into account. Renowned Danish Architect Jan Gehl highlights a cast of charachters making a strong case for designing cities for people instead of automobiles. Get ready for an eye-opening experience that will challenge your perspective on the spaces we live in. Don't miss out on this opportunity to learn and engage with advocates and practitioners.

Pizza, popcorn, and refreshments will be provided!

There is no dedicated parking at the Urban Design. We recommend you access the event by public transit (we're located directly adjacent to the Bland Street light rail station). There is 2 hour paid parking on Camden Road and other adjacent streets. There is also free on-street parking on select streets in Dilworth and Wilmore including S. Church Street, Key Court, and Rensselaer Avenue.
