SHORT FILMS:
Rivers Run Through Us (Littleglobe, 10 min). Three artists, five days, 54 miles. A pilgrimage along the endangered Santa Fe river.
Paige (Water First and Untold Storytelling, 11 min 16 sec.). This short film follows the story of Paige Manitowabi, a Water Walker from Manitoulin Island. Paige learned Traditional Knowledge and teachings from her mother and coupled this with training in western science. Since graduating from the Water First Drinking Water Internship, she has used this knowledge to inspire Indigenous youth to be water protectors.
Rooted Waters (Uncivilized Outdoors, 11 min) This captivating short film showcases the journey of The Indigenous and Hispanic Youth Fly Fishing Camp, where cultural roots flourish and generational healing takes place through the art of fly fishing in the stunning landscapes of northern New Mexico. Join us in celebrating this beautiful connection to nature, heritage, and culture!
FEATURE FILM:
Thirst for Power (56 min, PBS Documentary) Energy and water are the world’s most vital and interdependent resources. Thirst for Power delves into the critical relationship between water and energy, shedding light on how our reliance on one resource can expose vulnerabilities in the other.
