Starring Margaret Atwood as herself and Ceciley Jenkins as Susanna's Maid. This captivating film explores the life and legacy of Susanna Moodie, one of Canada’s most fascinating historical figures whose writing captured the struggles and spirit of early settlers in Upper Canada. Narrated with stunning visuals and thoughtful storytelling, the film brings Moodie’s complex persona to life while highlighting her enduring impact on Canadian literature and culture.
The screening will be followed by an intimate Q&A with filmmaker Patrick Crowe, offering insights into his creative process and the historical themes that continue to resonate today.
