About this Event
Get ready for the first Film Industry Networking Event!
Join us for the first of many monthly events dedicated to Filmmaking, Innovation, Networking, and Education! Whether you're in the industry or just passionate about film, F.I.N.E. is your chance to connect, learn, and be inspired.
Each monthly gathering will feature guest speakers, networking opportunities, insights, and inspiration.
The theme for this special first event is “Indigenous Storytelling and Working in Film”, and the headlining guest is Doreen Manuel, the first Indigenous woman to serve on the Board of Directors Chair the Equity and Inclusion Committee of Knowledge Network and direct the Bosa Centre for Film and Animation. She has received numerous accolades, including the 2019 Woman of the Year award from Women in Film and TV Vancouver (WIFTV) and other leadership awards in film and education. Doreen has contributed to television and film as a news reporter, producer, director, writer, and story editor, focusing on Indigenous stories.
Mark your calendars and be part of Kamloops’ newest film industry event—every month!
