Film History Tour of the Fényes Mansion

Join PMH Curator of History & Exhibitions Julia Long for an exclusive film history tour of the Fényes Mansion and its grounds. The Fényes Estate has been a popular filming location for over 100 years. Museum benefactor, Eva Scott Fényes was interested in the burgeoning art of filmmaking and invited directors like D.W. Griffith to film at the Fényes Estate – a tradition PMH continues to this day. Learn about the movies, television, music videos, and commercials that have been filmed at the Fényes Estate over the many years.

Space is limited; advance reservations required.

Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your tour. Check-in will be in the Museum Store.

Tour begins promptly at 12:30 pm. Latecomers cannot be admitted once the tour group has entered the Mansion and will be issued a refund or moved to another available date.

This tour requires participants to stand for over an hour, please prepare accordingly.

Comfortable footwear suggested. No high heeled shoes in the Mansion.

Shoe covers are required. Complimentary shoe covers will be handed out before entering the Mansion.

Backpacks, large bags and items, and strollers are not permitted in the Mansion. Please leave these items in your vehicle.

Given the Mansion’s setting and group tour format, children must be at least 8 years old to join. Children must be supervised at all times throughout the tour.

Walkers and wheelchairs are allowed in the Mansion. Please note: the interior features a small set of stairs which will make it difficult to access two rooms. PMH does not provide wheelchairs or walkers. Personal/Non-commercial photography is allowed inside the Mansion. No video, selfie sticks, flash photography or commercial use.

Refunds will be granted with a 24-hour advance notice before the tour. The Eventbrite processing fee is non-refundable.
