First screened in 1922, Robert Flaherty's Nanook of the North is often considered the first documentary ever, and has had a great influence on modern cinema. The film chronicles the daily life of Nanook the hunter and his family, Inuits from the Ungava region of Canada's far north in the 1920s. The film is shown as a ciné-concert and is accompanied by music by Anne Paceo. As a drummer and composer, this is her first introduction to "music to the picture," taking the stage with musicians Laura Perrudin and Gauthier Toux.

Diffusé pour la première fois en 1922, Nanook of the North de Robert Flaherty, est souvent considéré comme le premier documentaire de l’histoire, et a profondément marqué le paysage du cinéma moderne. Le film relate la vie quotidienne du chasseur Nanook et de sa famille, Inuits de la région d’Ungava, dans le grand nord canadien dans les années 1920.
