The 2025-26 Film and Speaker Series presents Elder Speak: A Journey to Wisdom
Elder Speak is a guided, nine-month journey that honors, affirms, and brings forth the deep, often untapped wisdom of our Elders. This culminating event is a sacred space to listen, witness, and understand the personal and collective paths of four remarkable Elders, Glen Carlson, Joe Roy, Merry Roy, and Ron Scutt.
On Oct. 9, at 6 PM, listen to their heartfelt reflections connect us to our shared human experience—offering insight into how to navigate hardship, cherish joy, and hold gratitude for all of life’s moments. As the elders explore their own stories, they honor us with their wisdom and invite us to reflect on our own lives, resilience, and purpose.
Join the Ripple Foundation for an inspiring 2-hour gathering of gentle, wise, and endearing storytelling that enriches lives and strengthens community.
Admission is free for members and $5 for non-members. Registration is recommended.
Funds from this event support the Museum’s mission-serving programs, including featured exhibits, MakerSpace, robotics clubs, field trips, student scholarships, community cultural events, film and speaker series, and collection restorations.
Elder Speak will also be held at the Snowy Owl Theater on Sep. 7, at 2 PM. Learn more about the Elder Speak program here.
The Ripple Foundation is sponsored by Dan’s Food Market, the Wenatchee Valley Dispute Resolution Center, Wenatchee Valley Tech, Curate by Dorrinda, Cascade Autocenter, Mike West Leavenworth Realty, Cashmere Storage, Seeds Learning Center, Cashmere Valley Bank, the Icicle Center for the Arts, and the Wenatchee Valley Museum & Cultural Center. The 2025-26 Film & Speaker Series is supported by the City of Wenatchee and the City of East Wenatchee.
