Following the film, hear from knowledgeable activists—Simone Zimmerman, Osama Illiwat and Rotem Levin— working for peace, justice, safety, an arms embargo, and end to the Genocide and oppression in Gaza, Lebanon and beyond.
Israeli-born Rotem Levin was transformed after serving in the Israeli Military; he later became a doctor. Palestinian activist Osama Iliwat grew up in Jericho and is a co-founder of Visit Palestine. He and Rotem share their perspectives on the Palestinian reality living under military occupation and how to create a new narrative forward with collective liberation.
Simone Zimmerman is the protagonist in the film documentary Israelism. In 2014, she helped found IfNotNow. She was the national Jewish outreach coordinator for Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign and has worked for a variety of human rights organizations focusing on both Palestinian rights as well as the fight against antisemitism.
